Wombourne and District Choral Society

The performance of Handel's Messiah was dedicated to Pat Walder, past chairman of the society and a member of the Tenor section.

Pat was highly respected for his musical knowledge and guidance.

He is sadly missed by all.

WELCOME!

Welcome to all who enjoy high quality choral music, whether as a participant or a listener.

We are a well-established, mixed choir of some 100 singers, drawn from South Staffordshire, Shropshire and the West Midlands. We have a varied repertoire, mainly full scale classical works, often with an orchestra but sometimes performing more intimate pieces such as madrigals and part-songs.

New singers are always welcome so do give us a try. There are no auditions and the only requirements are enthusiasm, and the ability to hold a note! Not everyone in the choir reads music fluently and CDs are often available to help people to learn their parts.

We rehearse on Monday evenings 7.30 - 9.30 during term time at The Kings School, Regis Road, Tettenhall, Wolverhampton, WV6 8XG.

Term Dates

MONDAY 15th DECEMBER:    Social Evening, singing Carols: 7-30pm Kings School
